At Lyons Farm Elementary
About The Program
Students who attend Lyons Farm Elementary are eligible to sign up for classes. The program runs from the end of school until 5:00PM. Mondays are for students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Fridays are for students in grades K, 1, and 2. Students will learn and practice the basics of rhythm as well as learn multi-part rhythms as we grow and drum together! A small snack is provided at 3:30. We will also have opportunities to move, dance, and play. We will use circles to give everyone an opportunity to have their voice heard.
Starting Simple
We will start by warming up with these six simple exercises. Then, we will advance in complexity steadily.
Here are warm ups 7 through 11. They increase in complexity, building off of each other.

Hi! I'm Will Lalanne, and I'm a 5th grade teacher at Lyons Farm Elementary. I started this program because I am passionate about music, rhythm, and drumming! I hope to spread more joy through Drum Together LLC, which serves students who attend Lyons Farm. The program runs from the end of school until 5:00PM. Mondays are for grades 3, 4 and 5. Fridays are for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders. I hope to see you there!
